The film could not have got a better time for release. The collapse of Saradha Group and subsequent shutting down of many chit fund companies have set a perfect Launchpad for Kagojer nouka or paper boat. But that is the only one of the two things, other than the acting of Soumitra Chatterjee and Victor Banerjee, which will work for the film. Everything else is a dampner. Surprisingly, there were very few takers for the film even over the weekend. At the end of the movie, more than being thankful that you did not invest in any of the chit funds, the question that will haunt you is, why on earth did actors like Soumitra and Victor signed this film?
